Yoga
Yoga is a system of holistic health that originated in India and can be traced back as far as 2700 B.C. It is an ancient and sacred practice that is so much more than the physical postures we’re generally used to seeing in the modern day, western world.
The word ‘yoga’ translates to mean ‘union’ and in all aspects, on or off the mat, brings together body and mind.
Yoga practices such as meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques), the use of visualisation and mantras, are all key components of yoga that can be so transformative, but so often overlooked.
A yoga practice can be adapted to suit anyone. It’s something that you develop over time and cultivate to support you at all stages in the journey of your life.
Yoga has been a huge part of my life, a constant process of evolution, but I’ve been privileged to be a teacher for the past eleven years. I’m here to offer guidance and to help you find your way to a practice that truly works for you, either in classes, workshops or on a one-to-one basis.
